Meet our Fitness Instructor, Loy Vincent
Loy has had a career of appreciating health, wellness and physical education; especially as it pertains to fitness, recreation and sports. With a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education Education, he was determined to change attitudes towards fitness and quality of life.
Loy grew up in Lakewood CA. He enjoyed Little league Baseball, and experienced the fun of becoming a Boy Scout. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps right after High School; and later completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, and became a Youth Activities Director. He became a Fitness Coordinator for the Department of Navy. While there, he managed the staff of Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, Gym Attendants and and their corresponding Fitness Programs.
After retiring, Carmel Valley Manor Retirement Community hired Loy to oversee their Fitness Center. During this time, he also started teaching Senior Balance classes for the City of Monterey, Sports Center.
Loy learned, as you age, staying fit and healthy becomes naturally important, but using precise Medical Exercises can make for a safer senior exercise.
Today, Loy lives in Edgewood WA. He is currently Senior Exercise Instructor for Mountain View Community Center.
Whether it is working on the house, or playing with his Grandkids; his life will never be boring.
