Who We Are

Our Vision

A community in which all experience belonging and wellness

Our Mission

To develop successful kids, hopeful families, and active seniors

Our Values

Respect | Collaboration | Service | Connection | Hope

Mountain View Community Center (MVCC) opened its 10,000 square foot facility in November 2008. Given our roots to our founders and campus partners, Mountain View Lutheran Church, MVCC is a faith-inspired organization, however, MVCC’s calling has never been to build a religious community, or to proclaim a set of beliefs. We exist to love and serve our neighbor, to build connection and compassion, and ultimately to create lasting change for vulnerable members of our community. In our leadership, hiring practices, and program delivery there is no requirement of religious affiliation or faith practice. We aim to create an inclusive community space, framework, and programs that provide care and connection for kids, families, and seniors.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We believe that every person is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect.  We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, language, national origin, faith tradition, physical challenge, gender or age. We expect staff, volunteers, and community partners to uphold these values as we work together to build a more equitable and inclusive community. Harassment, bullying, and discrimination will not be tolerated. We consider diversity, equity, and inclusion integral to our work, in order to develop our vision of a community in which all experience belonging and wellness.
