Youth Hunger Programs
Removing barriers to learning by alleviating hunger
We believe that success starts with proper nourishment. MVCC partners with our local schools and cities to provide free supplemental food to ensure kids have the resources they need to thrive.
Power Pack Program
Supplemental food packs are provided to cover breakfast, lunch, and snacks over the weekend and school breaks, as well as during the summer. All the food is easy to prepare and youth friendly. MVCC serves an average of 200 students each week in the Fife School District and Edgewood schools. During the school year, we rely on school counselors to refer youth. In the summer, MVCC distributes directly through accessible pickup sites provided by collaborating organizations.
Souper Families Program
At the beginning of each school year, 40 families at our local ECEAP Preschool Program are given a new crockpot. Each week during the school year, family soup kits are provided.
We have received over 40 crockpots. Thank you for your generosity!

“Just knowing that someone is really caring about our kids makes a difference in our lives. We don’t have a week that goes by that I am not grateful for the KidPower Pack that comes home with my son.”
