Seeds of Change

Community Meal

We will NOT be serving dinner on Thursday until further notice.

Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm...unless center is closed

Coordinator:  Joshua Shulkind

The Seeds of Change meal teams cook and/or serve a free meal to families, individuals and seniors (some of whom shop at our neighboring Nourish Food bank). This is a volunteer driven and funded program that serves 75-100 individuals once a week.

Most meal teams and serving teams range from 4-8 people. Churches, civic groups, families and clubs have a lot of fun planning a menu, prepping and serving families here at MVCC.  Children are welcome to participate as long as an adult supervises them.

MVCC serves 8,035 meals annually with the help of over 200 committed volunteers. If you are interested in forming a team or even coming in to volunteer yourself, please contact Joshua Shulkind or call 253-826-4329 X 104 for more information.

Don’t have a team or too busy to come cook? We can always use financial support to keep Seeds of Change going. No matter how large or small, every dollar makes a difference!
